LADIES NEWS – 4TH APRIL

With trollies now allowed and the course drying out, please note that restrictions have been lifted on the course which means that qualifiers/general play cards can now be submitted towards your handicaps. Preferred lies are still permitted on closely mown areas for the time being.

EASTER GREENSOMES

It was lovely to see a great turnout for this years Easter Greensomes with 11 pairs playing Thursday and with Bohdana and Rachael playing today. There were also 12 pairs playing in the Phoenix Fun Pairs.

Easter Greensomes final result is:-

1st place – Laura Johnson & Sue Reed with 33 points on countback

2nd place – Christine Knight & Louise Crow also with 33 points

3rd place – Ruth Leatherbarrow & Margaret Swatman with 31 points

Phoenix Fun Pairs result was:-

1st place – Shirley Vance & Jayne Campbell with 22 points

2nd place – Toni Ford & Kay Scott with 19 points

3rd place – Barbara Munro & Linda Clinton

Congratulations to the winners. Thanks also to Margaret Swatman for marking Bohdana & Rachael’s card today.

CAPTAINS CHARITY DAY – 26TH & 28TH MARCH

My thanks go to the 4 players who joined in this fun event on Saturday raising further money for my charity ‘Children’s Respite Trust’.

I am delighted that the 2 days along with additional donations made a fantastic sum of £371. (apologies for my typo mistake in last week’s newsletter as should have read £330!) Thank you to all those who took part and donated.

23/4 – Spring Meeting. There is still time to enter this if you haven’t already done so.
