Dear members,
Autumn certainly seems to have arrived! In amongst the downpours, the golf course is holding up well and the Autumn Rosebowl was enjoyed by a strong field over the last weekend. A 36-hole event inevitably throws up a greater requirement for consistency and mental strength over an 18-hole competition. It does make you wonder how the professionals regularly compete over four days!
We do have some further works planned around the area of the 10th and 11th holes of the Griffin course over the coming weeks to strengthen them up before winter arrives. Please respect the areas marked for 'Ground Under Repair' to help ensure we meet our goals.
As the darkness lingers in the morning and draws in earlier in the evening, the Health Club is looking ever more enticing. The Health Club team would be delighted to see you if your training has lapsed and to help get you back on track. If nothing else, the pool and Jacuzzi are looking very tempting…
On a final note, please could I remind all members to drive with caution up and down the driveway. Some ill-advised overtaking manoeuvres have been witnessed of late. Please use the designated overtaking bays accordingly.
