Dear Members,
This week has been a tumultuous week for the Club. The early part of the week saw the successful opening of the newly refurbished pool area which I am delighted to say has been extremely well received by you all. Today sees the opening (a day early) of our new nine & 18-hole layouts which signals one of the bigger changes the courses have undergone in the Club's 40 year history. We hope these changes will help cement the Club's reputation in the locality for the next 40 years.
I would like to thank all my staff for their incredible efforts to complete this work in a timely fashion and I would like to thank all of you for your patience whilst we have undertaken these projects, it truly is an exciting time for the Club. For all the golfers out there looking forward to playing this weekend, I ask you to please adhere to all the new directional and safety signage that has been put out there, it has been put there for your own safety and the smooth flow of traffic.
Finally, whether it be a swim in the new pool or a game of golf on one of the new course layouts, we really hope you enjoy the experience this weekend and beyond.
Kind regards
Matthew Hazelden
General Manager

Any ditch that is not marked as a hazard is no longer a hazard and is now an integral part of the course
You can find all of the additional local rules by clicking here. Any questions on this or on any other rules queries please pop into the shop and ask Calum or email him on directorofgolf@cottesmoregolf.co.uk

Well done to Joseph Byrne who won the June Junior 9-Hole Medal last weekend. His great nett score of 19 was five shots clear of his nearest competitor Ben Powell. Seven players took part, many of who put in great performances ready for the Junior Academy Summer Cup on 12th January. Keep practicing all as there are many Academy members practicing hard.
Competition winners - A huge congratulations to Paul and Kate Burgess on winning the latest Technogym challenge. The competition was to see who could rack up the highest amount of moves. Paul accumulated an impressive 51894 moves and Kate came in closely behind totaling 44347 moves. They each received a 'biggest mover' t-shirt along with bragging rights until the next one.
