Many of you will have thought about your playing schedule for the year, and many will have put your schedule together for 2015 and perhaps even your golfing winter break for 2016.
If you have space in your calendar and you fancy a great day out with one of your professionals why not add a Pro-Am to your schedule? Not only will you have a great day, have the chance to win prizes, but also playing 18 holes with a professional gives him a chance to see your complete game and you will gain invaluable advice on how you can improve in the long and short term.
Cottesmore have a great record in these events and Calum is also thinking about himself, Steve and Alex all taking a team next winter to an overseas Pro-Am. If you have any interest in playing a Pro-Am locally or an overseas Winter Pro-Am click here. Do not forget that we also have our 2015 40th Anniversary Pro-Am on Friday, 4 September. At least keep that date in the diary.

Gut Health & Probiotics - You have most likely heard of some commercially used Probiotics such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. These probiotic bacteria can help improve the health of the gastrointestinal system.
Why would you need to improve your gastrointestinal health?
There's a number of things which cause harm and damage the gastrointestinal system and the good bacteria within the gut, which include: Antibiotics and other orally consumed medicine, poor diet and processed foods, stress/stress hormones.
Foods containing Probiotic bacteria include diary, yogurt, chesses, sauerkraut, Miso and Kefir, for example. There are also supplements if you cannot eat foods with Probiotic bacteria, such as Probiotic tablets. Probiotics seem to improve overall health, metabolism, immunity, digestion, and body composition. They may even help alleviate inflammatory conditions. Prebiotics are different to Probiotics and are indigestible fibre which support the growth of probiotic bacteria. They can be found in fruit and veg such as bananas, apples, asparagus and onions.
Many people have a gastrointestinal system that is not functioning well and maybe causes distress, making you feel bloated, uncomfortable and sluggish. Consuming foods like the ones mentioned above with Pre- and Probiotics could help improve your gastrointestinal health.
