We hope you're well. Two dates for your diary: 29th March and 12th April!  It was great to hear the news that - amongst other things - playing golf has been given the green light from the 29th of March, just in time for the four-day Easter weeken

Hello Golfers,

Make or Break Challenge

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all keeping well.

We wanted to send you an update to let you all know about a brutal charity challenge that we (Faye, Rachel and Mich) are taking part in, in six weeks time, aptly named "The Make or Break Challenge”. Follow our journey on our Instagram or Facebook - both can be found @themakeorbreakchallenge.

We are raising money for two incredible local charities - St Catherines Hospice and The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre. Links to donate are below!

We will be attempting to complete three mammoth challenges, as a team, within 24 hours starting on Sunday, 4 April and finishing on Monday, 5 April.

Challenge 1 - 24 hour non-stop cycle - The pedals will be in motion for the full 24-hour duration. One of us will always be on the bike. We will see how much distance we can cover, and how many times we can ‘virtually’ cycle around the Griffin Golf Course here at Cottesmore. You'll be able to enter a competition (entry fee £5) to guess how many times you think we can make it around the course. A prize will be up for grabs for the person closest and all of the extra proceeds from this will be going to our great charities - St Catherines Hospice and The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre.

Challenge 2 - Lift the weight of ten African Elephants. Using a 15kg barbell, as a team, we will attempt to lift the weight of ten Elephants. Ten Elephants weigh around 50,000kg combined, which means we will have to complete a lot of reps to get this one done in the 24 hours!

Challenge 3 - Climb Mount Everest (virtually of course). On the dreaded Stairmaster, as a team, we will be climbing up to the summit of Mount Everest. Mount Everest is 8,848 metres high and this works out as 58,070 upward steps - the equivalent of 3871 flights of stairs on the Stairmaster. This is the one we are all fearing the most!

We would really like to raise £1500 for St Catherines Hospice and £1500 for The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre - so £3000 in total.

We know that times are tough at the moment, but if you would like to donate and support us, we would hugely appreciate it, as would our charities. Please head to the Just Giving pages (links below).
