increasing our shop sales by 38% in 2014. We are here to assist you and provide you with your requirements to make your golf easier and more enjoyable. This is our goal and it is clear that we are getting better at achieving this. We may not be 'King Pins' yet but it is clear that we are improving all the time and we look forward to continuing this improvement and looking after you in 2015.
Christmas Draw
Congratulations to all those that had winning tickets in our Christmas Draw. We may only have had £469 of sold tickets but we still managed to give away over £1,250 worth of prizes. Congratulations to all the winners. Steve Walsh was one of the happy winners. His ticket cost him £1.46 and won him a wedge fitting and three Cleveland wedges - a prize worth over £300!!

The Junior Academy ended its season on Sunday, 21 December with its Autumn Junior/Adult Foursomes and end of season Awards. William Pirie won the event with his Dad Neil and in doing so won the 2014 Foursomes Order of Merit as well. It was a tough day and their tremendous nett score of 23 finished one shot ahead of Toby Howe with dad Daniel who were one shot ahead of Joseph Byrne and his dad Paddy.

December 2014 Challenge
The Technogym Challenge on the week leading up to Christmas saw the under 40s take on the Over 40s in the total distance traveled on foot. Unfortunately the under 40s team were up against tough competition. The Over 40s led from the start and never looked back, amassing a victory of 685.33km to 175.9km. This was by far a 'challenge' and more of a walk-over. How embarrassing!! Nevertheless, I am up for a rematch.
January Challenge
January's Challenge running from the 1st to the 31st January sees Matt and Faye (Health Club Managers) go head to head. Matt and Faye are recruiting members to join their teams, and the winning team is the one who burns the most calories within the month. No prizes, just bragging rights at stake! Team Faye is off to a quick start reaching 53,000kcal after six days compared to Team Matt's 41,000kcal. Next time you're in the gym, choose a team and join the challenge.
Christmas Gifts
Thanks to all the members who gave us some chocolates and biscuits as a Christmas gift. I don't think we have ever had so many! Of course, we have managed to get through them all, but now will be spending more time in the gym to burn off those extra calories (plus my extra portions of turkey and roasts spuds on Christmas day!).
