A message from Alex... A total of 66 CVGS members played in the Vets Haig Trophy (Griffin Stableford) Round 6 (Qualifier) and the Phoenix Lanka Trophy (Stableford) Round 6 (Qualifier). Lots of sunshine and very good golfing conditions. Committee Meetings: The next Committee meeting is on Wednesday, 5 August 2020. Member Information: Information stays the same. Keep practising social distancing - 2 metres apart, please! A few questions from members - Question - What are the regulations regarding the wearing of face coverings? From Friday, 24 July, it is mandatory for customers to wear a face-covering inside a shop. This will apply inside stand-alone golf professional shops where a fine of up to £100 may be imposed on anyone breaking this rule. There are some exemptions to wearing face coverings including children under the age of 11 and those with certain disabilities. Question - Are showers off-limits? Locker rooms should remain closed except for allowing access to toilets and wash-hand basins. Question - Can buggies be used for two players? An individual or members of the same household (two players from the same household) can use buggies. Question - At what time on a CVGS Tuesday do three-balls start? Normally, it is two-balls up to 9am. However, CVGS have agreed three balls from 08.14am on a Tuesday. In practice, please do not book 7.42am and 7.50am. These are entered manually by either Bob Imrie or Graham Sinclair. CVGS members should book from 08.14 and this ensures you will enjoy your normal three-ball format.
