I was not able to be there this Tuesday so a big thank you to Alex Henderson for stepping in to do the wrap-up and also lead the team at Addington Court this week It was the penultimate round of the Morley and Bacon on the Griffin and the Rogerson on the Phoenix, so a lot of results to get through. Inter Club Matches Last Wednesday we took on Bletchingly at Cottesmore. I will admit to being a little apprehensive before the match as Bletchingly were the last team who could have beaten us both home and away. But I need not have been concerned as the team were on fine form winning 7 - 1. Top performers on the day were Paul Dixon and Bill Chaffe with a 6 & 4 victory. That was our final home match and we finish with a home record of: Played 12, Won 11, Drew 1, Lost 0 Next Week Next Tuesday it is the final round of the Haig Trophy on the Griffin and the Lanka Trophy on the Phoenix. The format is stableford and these are qualifiers. Steve Atkins CVGS Captain 2019 |
