Welcome to another edition of our newsletter. In this week’s edition we bring you the Turkey Trot results, news of our Christmas/New Year sale and Sam has a question. Enjoy the read!
|
Your question answered... I would like to give our very own Assistant Professional Sam, a huge congratulations on his proposal to his girlfriend Katy. You will be pleased to know she said, YES! That’s enough of all that lovey, dovey stuff. Now back to golf. I have had lots of people ask me “When will we need to have winter wheels on our trolleys?”
We only require winter wheels when it is frosty. If it is wet, you don’t have to put your winter wheels on. If you don’t have winter wheels for your trolley, I would recommend investing in some because if you turn up without them and there is a frost, we will have to restrict your access to the course I’m afraid. Although this may seem quite harsh, we are protecting the course during what is already a very challenging time for the greenkeeping staff.

On the topic of wheels...
As mentioned above, winter wheels have now become a must, for any golfer who uses a trolley. And remember they're necessary in a frost.
Whether you have a push or pull trolley, or any of the Motocaddy trolleys, we have you covered. Plus, all members receive 10% OFF all winter wheels.

An introduction
Firstly, I would like to introduce myself to people who may not know me.
My name is Martin and I am this year’s Captain of Cottesmore. You will see me most mornings either having a coffee with other members chewing the fat or out on the range plugging away at my game. Having said that I still play off 15, so maybe I need to cut out the chat and concentrate more on my golf. If you are looking to obtain a handicap or just wanting to get out for 9 holes on the Phoenix, I am more than happy to arrange a game that fits in with our schedules. I look forward to seeing you at the club throughout the year. All the best
Martin (M.B.S)

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles. |
What does your graph look like? As the year comes to an end, it's important to take stock and examine where you can improve your game going into the new year. There might be several areas that you want/need to work on, or maybe just two or three finer details that will take your game to the next level. |
Whatever those areas are, we're here to help. We can identify the key reasons you're not shooting the scores you want, as well as devise a personalised winter coaching plan to help iron out those faults and get you paying your best golf. So, if you want to see your handicap tumble in 2019, come down to the shop for a chat - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. |
