The weather forecast for Tuesday was unseasonably warm. In the event it was a dull, slightly misty start but certainly not cold – but I didn’t see any knees on show though! I was playing with Geoff ‘the two man’ Chalfont and Graham Procter.
The less said about my golf the better although and somehow I did manage to improve my eclectic score. Graham and I had far too much fun dicing with the trees around the course while Geoff steadily played his way to a very health 34 points. There were a total of 69 members playing today. This is a record for the year if not a record for the CVGS. Thirty nine members played on the Griffin course and a record 30 members played on the Phoenix. The scores that were recorded today were quite special especially on the Phoenix where six members scored 17 points and didn’t make the top five!! On the Griffin a score of 36 points was needed to make the top five. In amongst all this two players recorded a 2 on the 3rd Griffin hole – Mike Hamilton and Don Grange. |
