Long may this weather continue!
The golfing season is now coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop playing.
With a promising start to October it looks like we could have a few more weeks of pleasant weather to enjoy the course for a little longer.
Course maintenance is being completed as we speak which should help retain the quality of our greens going in to the heart of winter. I think you will all agree the courses have been in tremendous condition all year and is a credit to Ben and his team. Not one to rest on our laurels, we are trying to improve all the time and this autumn is no different.
We always like to have a project on the go which has been evident this year with the clearing and remodelling of the 1st ditch, the new pond at the bottom of the 15th, the back of the 17th tee with the very impressive gabions and now we are tackling the 6th tee.
The 6th tee, with its bumps and hollows, has been the bane of many people’s golf on what is already a very tough hole. The flattening and smoothing process is well underway and we aim to have you playing off it by the end of the month.

Dorin applying the sand.
Alan heading to the 18th.
Sand slitting on 11th looks great.
|
12th green looking amazing in the sun.
Work on the clubhouse has begun with the roof being the first task the builders will be faced with.
