The Captains' Charity Pro Am

On Friday 12th September, Cottesmore will again be hosting the Captains' Charity Pro Am. This annual event has been a great day out for a number of years and all proceeds go to our Captains' charities. For 2014, the Men's, Ladies and Vet's charities are as follows - Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice and the Prostate Project respectively.

We already have a host of sponsors to assist in the event with a few spaces left, so if you would like to be a part of this great event and are not able to play please contact one of your Captains or Calum in the Pro Shop. Hopefully you will be able to play and please note that we only have room for 30 teams. Entry Forms are available by clicking here. Just fill in your three team names and drop the entry form into the Pro Shop with cheque. We will supply the professionals, unless you wish to bring your own. Any questions please feel free to email directorofgolf@cottesmoregolf.co.uk.

Junior Cardio Tennis is here! A fun, sociable group session with tennis based drills set to upbeat music that is open to juniors of all abilities...

What do I need to bring?
Bring along your own racket, comfortable gym kit and trainers... and don't forget to bring a water bottle too!

Do I need to be good at tennis?
No! Cardio Tennis is for anyone who wants to get fit and have a go at tennis and getting fit to the beat of music.

And for those who already play tennis:
Cardio Tennis improves your overall agility and speed around the court by reinforcing your footwork patterns with exciting tennis drills.

Sessions start on Saturday 9th August. Come down to Cottesmore on Saturdays between 9am-10am and join in for just £5. Non-members are welcome why not bring along a friend. You can book your place at the reception desk or call 01293 528256. Limited spaces so book now!

Yesterday, Wednesday 30th July, was the re-arranged July Stableford. Unfortunately due to many of you playing in the Sussex u14s on that day we have decided to re-arrange once again, this time to Friday 1st of August. Hopefully more of you will be able to play. The first tee time is at 11.10 on the Griffin. If you are interested in playing then please email me back to register your interest. There is a £1 entry fee to be paid on the day in the Pro shop.

Also in August there is another Monthly Stableford on Sunday 24th. If you are interested in playing in this competition then please email me back your interest. The first tee time is at 10.30 on the Griffin.

Also a well done to Josh Greig in making the final of the men's Buchan Cup. Josh has played some good players to reach the final and is well deserved for all the hard work he is putting in.

Well done to Toby Howe for winning the Summer Junior/Adult Foursomes with his dad Dan. Father and son can be seen here.

Toby played some great golf for his nett winning total of 24, just pipping Yusuf Hussain and his Dad Mo by one stroke. In third place was the 7 year old future champion Elliot Fillion.

The Junior Academy's Summer Schedule is out and up and running with 19 children taking advantage of the first of our Free Kids Taster Sessions.
