Competition news
Today was the Danny Mulholland Trophy (Medal Q) and on the Phoenix there was a 9 Hole Stableford. On a mild, sunny day there were 32 members on the Griffin and 11 on the Phoenix
Thank you to Les Irvine and Peter Lamb for doing card duty and to Alex Henderson, ably assisted by Roger Birchmore, for clubhouse duty. In the Mulholland Dave Tomes came 5th with nett 75, Dave Gardner 4th with nett 73, Graham Sinclair 3rd with nett 72, Ron Vance was runner up with nett 71, and the winner on nett 69 was Tom George. Tom also had the lowest gross score of 87. Tom is pictured receiving the Mulholland Trophy from the Captain.
Ken Brightwell had a hole in one on the 3rd and is seen above being congratulated by the Captain. Ken was our second player in 2 weeks to be on bar duty after their match (and he won £8 from being in the 2's competition)
In the Phoenix Stableford Colin Coventry came 5th with 13 points, William Bailey came 4th with 14 points, Sam Biillcliff 3rd with 15 points, Peter Swann was runner up with 16 points, and the winner was John Oswin with 19 points - Well done John your £5 voucher will be in vets wallet next week.
