Well done Cottesmore Juniors (again)
Last Monday three of our finest Cottesmore Juniors played in the Andy Beer Memorial at Copthorne. This is a Sussex County Union event with the winning club representing the county in the English Junior Club Championships later in the year.
As always the team put in a commendable performance, finishing 3rd out of 15 Sussex Clubs. Well done Josh Dance, Peter Thomas and Lucy Pigram.
Also, a big congratulations to Will Pirie who, having won the last event of 2016 the Junior Academy Autumn Championship, has started the 2017 season the same way by winning the first event of the year, the Junior Academy Easter Cup. Will 'shook' his main rival, Joseph Byrne (2016 player of the year) by starting with 4 straight 3s (a start that would put even the professionals in the shop under a bit of pressure) and played the 9 holes in 35 shots, finishing just 1 shot ahead of Joseph who completed the 9 holes in 36 shots. These are the best scores that the academy has seen in a number of years and it will be fantastic to see the pair of them battle it out next month in the Junior Academy Spring Masters. Joseph, with his great sporting attitude, was the first to congratulate Will on his play and his win and I am sure will be working hard to get his revenge next month. Will Pirie is your Easter Cup Champion!

Now is the ideal time to swap as we’re offering £25 OFF a Lithium battery when you trade-in your old one. | Click here to find out why it pays to go Lithium |
