Sam Smitherman has gone off for a well earned break, Sam P continues to work hard in the shop and on his golf and Calum and Steve miss another cut. Both struggled with their games on Monday, playing at the beautiful Wildernesse Club at Sevenoaks. The course was magnificent however Steve was feeling under the weather and Calum's long game 'was awful' and he was just grateful that his short game was very solid. More practice required.

Sunday saw a small but distinguished field compete for the Fittal Cup and the Jones Pairs Cup. Ian and Elaine Jones (pictured below) won the married couples trophy with 35 points, whilst Martin Lambert paired up with Heather Skinner (pictured below) to score 38 points to win the Jones Cup. The weather was near perfect for the
Vets Invitation to Ladies today. Much cooler than yesterday with some pleasant sunny periods, a cool breeze with some gusts, but the forecast showers stayed well away. Ideal golfing conditions. Although the latter groups had a very brief splattering which stopped almost as soon as the brollies were up.
