A big congratulations to our ladies who are through to the semi-finals in the SCLGA Morrice Foursomes. The team of Iona McKean, Irene Matheson, Pat Johns, Brenda Williams, Heather Skinner and Jill Lewis beat West Hove in the quarter-finals at Mannings Heath. They now play on the 3rd September at Goodwood Park and we wish them the best of luck.
Also well done to Andy Peate, Graeme Snelgrove, Alex Burton and Trevor Wiramanaden for winning our annual Anniversary Scramble.
A great day out with a fantastic scramble score (gross 62) of nett 56.2, 1.9 shots clear of second place. What makes this event great is the fact that it is a random draw and has become one of the highlights of the year with many people playing with others that they have never met before. Well done to everyone and a big thanks to Angela Miller, our Golf Day Manager, who organised the food and after golf entertainment - just a shame that the clouds were as heavy forcing the Mexican theme indoors.
Do you ever get fed up with having to iron your trousers (or maybe fed up with hearing your other half moan about ironing your trousers)? Have you noticed how much smarter the guys have become in the golf shop?
Want to know the secret?
You may not have noticed but the shop now has a good selection of FootJoy trousers in stock. Just like their shirts, the trousers are quick drying and iron free. With these you can sit at your desk or in the car all day and step out without a crease. Why not smarten up today at a great price of £49.99 per pair?
We have a great bargain in the shop at the moment for you ladies who love your game. A set of three ladies Cleveland wedges - 52 degree, 56 degree and 60 degree - can be yours for £100 (usually £99 each) There's only one set available (second photo above), so act fast and reserve yours here.
For those of you that play Pro V1s/Xs, we have some limited edition box sets available. These contain 2 dozen balls with a FREE Titleist hat and a metal Vegas ball marker - as pictured above.
Exercise of the week - Box Squat
Box squats are great for achieving a deeper squat, as you're required to touch your bum down to a set height which can adjusted to suit your range of squat. This exercise works primarily legs, bum, lower back and core.
Rusty Rackets Session - Wednesday 6:30pm - 7:30pm
