A Word from your General Manager
Dear Members,
Whilst I have yet to collate all the responses from the membership survey I can reveal that for the second year running our coffee machine came in for some slight criticism! In response to last year's frustrations we made a filter coffee alternative available at all times, however, we have failed to sway the over riding opinion that it was just too loud and took too long to serve. Those who have ventured up to the Club since Friday may have noticed a new replacement automatic coffee machine which still utilises fresh coffee beans and fresh milk.
The new machine creates a fraction of the grinding noise and serves a coffee in a third of the time. I believe we are looking at what is referred to as a 'win win' solution for all concerned! Please do try the new coffee and let me know your thoughts. For those of you who are waiting for the 2016 Fixture List, this will be available early in the new year but should be on the website prior to this.
On behalf of myself, the Rogerson family, and all the team at Cottesmore we wish you a very Happy Christmas and the very best for 2016. 2015 has seen another year of significant progress at the Club which we will endeavor to repeat in 2016.
Finally, anyone caught short for presents for Christmas and in need of an instant solution please visit our online voucher page.

A Word from the Mens' Captain
I would like to say a big thank you for the warm welcome you all gave me on turkey trot day, and for listening to what I had to say.
I am really looking forward to being your Captain for the coming year, and also want to thank you all for starting my fund raising for Prostate Cancer with a great contribution of £258!
I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year and hope you all have a great Christmas. Once again thank you for the great start and of course, thank you Harry for making it possible.
Regards
Barry Peate
2016 Captain
Looking back at a great year
The Golf Shop has had another good year, growing on from 2014 and for this we must thank you all for your support. Delivery times are getting quicker and the product range is getting bigger all the time.
We have fitted more of you for new irons and woods than ever before and the purchase of our GC2 Launch Monitor has ensured that you get fitted for the right equipment so that you can enjoy your golf more.
For any last minute christmas gifts please contact me here to see what we can do.
From myself and the team in the shop we wish you all a fantastic Christmas and look forward to assisting you in 2016.
Ladies Section
Christmas preparations, family commitments, colds and flu and poor weather on Thursday all contributed to lower than usual numbers participating in the Ladies' day, which saw a friendly fun matchplay format.
The Christmas competition for seven day ladies takes place this coming weekend, so fingers crossed for a fine day. This is likely to be my last newsletter before Christmas, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all ladies of Cottesmore a very, very Happy Christmas.
Best wishes,
Pat Johns
Lady Captain
